What is a Recovery Coach?
A Recovery Coach is anyone interested in promoting recovery by removing barriers and obstacles, and serving as a personal guide and mentor for people seeking or in established recovery. A coach is more than one thing. A Recovery Coach is a leader, mentor, partner, spiritual guide and cheerleader, helping people build a life that is meaningful and enjoyable.
Recovery Coaches are individuals who may be in recovery or a recovery ally.
Recovery Coaching Services are free of charge!
All of our volunteer coaches are trained through Recovery Coach Academy and have continual training and supervision while serving in the capacity of a coach through Kennebec Behavioral Health. Training to become a recovery coach is provided free to all of our volunteer coaches.
