You know that your heart is vital to your health, but do you know how to keep your ticker going strong? Here are few tips for every day heart health:
Eat the right fats. Saturated, polyunsaturated and unsaturated fats should be included in your diet through nuts and seeds, salmon and tuna, and eggs. One fat you don’t need is trans-fat.
Get up and move. Research suggests that staying seated for long periods of time can be bad for your heart and health.
Try to remain smoke free. This is one of the best ways to protect your heart.
Finally, be aware of your mental health. People with depression can be at greater risk of heart disease. Talk to your doctor if you are struggling.
