Wednesday Wellness: Smoking

You’re ready to kick your smoking habit but as many know, quitting is easier said than done. There are different ways to quit smoking and some work better than others, so what can you do to help supplement your smoking cessation plan?


Tell friends and family that you are quitting. Let them know if there is anything they can do to support you.


Learn your triggers and avoid them. If possible, try to stay away from situations that normally make you feel like smoking.


Try a new hobby with friends who don’t smoke. Staying active will help reduce stress and make success more likely.


Finally, don’t be discouraged if your plan isn’t working. Everyone struggles when quitting so talk to someone who has quit for support.
