Kennebec Behavioral Health (KBH) and Crisis & Counseling Centers are pleased to announce that they will be joining forces on December 1, 2024. This partnership reflects their shared dedication to providing compassionate and comprehensive mental health care for the central Maine community. By coming together, they aim to ensure that community members continue to receive the seamless, high-quality support they need and deserve.
“We are excited about this opportunity and the service enhancements it will bring to central Maine” said Thomas McAdam, CEO of KBH. “Together, our priority is to provide uninterrupted, comprehensive care to our clients. By integrating the strengths of both agencies, we will enhance our service offerings and reach even more individuals in need.”
By combining resources and expertise, KBH and Crisis & Counseling Centers will be able to offer an even broader range of services, ensuring that no one in our community is left without the support they need. Clients of KBH and Crisis & Counseling Centers can rest assured that their care will continue without disruption. Current programs and services will continue in the same locations with the same dedicated professionals they have come to trust.
“We are committed to making this transition as smooth as possible for everyone involved,” said Amber Kruk, Executive Director at Crisis & Counseling Centers. “Our clients’ well-being remains our top priority, and we are confident that this joint venture will ultimately benefit the entire community.”
A wide range of mental health services and programs, including Crisis Stabilization, will now be offered under the name Kennebec Behavioral Health. With a unified team and a shared vision, they are dedicated to addressing the evolving behavioral health needs of the community. The transition team is working collaboratively with Maine Department of Health and Human Services which licenses and contracts with both agencies for the provision of mental health and substance use disorder services in Maine.
