Kennebec Behavioral Health currently has an opening for a Regional Team Lead in our Residential Programs for the Augusta area!
The Regional Team Leader position will serve two roles; evening shift leader for assigned region as well as residential support worker when necessary. The primary function of this role is to ensure implementation of program policies and procedures to include oversight, direction and implementation of client specific treatment and response plans to include crisis management. The Regional Team Leader is responsible for coordinating and overseeing the functions the Residential Support staff and to ensure quality clinical services. The Regional Team Leader assists the Program Manager in oversight of the evening operations of the assigned location.
The Residential Support Worker provides rehabilitative supportive services, problem solving and decision making, supportive counseling, outreach, ADL skills training, family support, coordination/advocacy for services, education, medication administration and crisis support to persons with severe and prolonged mental illness. Limited case management services may be provided in coordination with the clients’ regular case manager as a supplement. The goal of these services is to assist individuals in obtaining the support, skills and rehabilitative services necessary to improve their level of functioning within their communities and to decrease the need for hospitalization. These services are delivered in a variety of home, office, and community settings depending on the individual’s needs.
Requirements: One year of work experience with individuals with debilitating mental illness. Working knowledge of psychosocial rehabilitation. BA/BS degree in Human Services related field preferred but not required. MHRT/C Certification. Will accept a provisional certification with the expectation that employees will complete full certification within the time provided by provisional certification.
