Kennebec Behavioral Health has an immediate opening for a Peer Coordinator to join our CCBHC (Certified Community Behavioral Health Clinic) program! The Peer Coordinator will provide direct support to KBH clients and maintain responsibility for the supervision of Peer Support Specialists. This individual must have lived experience related to the position and experience practicing one-on-one and/or group peer support.
The primary role of the Peer Coordinator will be to provide peer-valued supervision and support to peer support staff along with providing direct peer support services to members via one-on-one support and group facilitation. The Peer Coordinator will facilitate/lead peer staff meetings as needed, and develop trainings on a variety of topics to support learning of the team. They would oversee projects and/or grant implementation for new peer support initiatives, and help with incorporating peer specialists in KBH programs.
Requirements: Bachelor’s degree in psychology, social work, special education, or related field is strongly preferred. Training with subsequent Certification as an Intentional Peer Support Specialist (CIPPS), and a valid driver’s license. Preferably 1+ years’ experience in a peer support role and 1+ years’ experience in group facilitation and/or one-on-one peer support. Some experience with supervisory/management experience is preferred.
