Maintenance Technician

Kennebec Behavioral Health, a comprehensive mental healthcare provider in central Maine since 1960 and one of the Best Places to Work in Maine for 2021, 2022 and 2023.  is currently seeking a full-time Maintenance Technician to join our team.  The Maintenance Specialist will work as part of a team to perform assigned facilities and ground maintenance tasks throughout the KBH system, in Augusta, Farmington, Skowhegan, Waterville and Winthrop. Schedule could be 5 – 8 hour days or 4 – 10 hour days. Pay will be depending on experience, starting at $19 per hour.

Responsibilities will include:
• Monitoring parking lots and redirecting traffic as needed
• Inspecting agency apartment units and facilities, as directed, in order to ensure safety and
cleanliness of facilities
• Performing yard work (at various agency sites) including lawn care, pruning, planting, mulch
beds, and trimming.
• Repairing and painting interior and exterior surfaces including walls, ceilings, and floors
• Performing other maintenance duties as assigned including, but not limited to inspecting and repairing furniture/plumbing/equipment, flooring installation/removal, and moving furniture/supplies, equipment at various agency sites.

Requirements – High school diploma or equivalent, with maintenance and facilities experience/skillset.
