Are you interested in joining a dedicated team? Kennebec Behavioral Health is seeking a full-time Behavioral Health Professional to join our Home and Community Treatment Based program in either Augusta, or Waterville! The Behavioral Health Professional will work as part of a treatment team in providing time limited, intensive, counseling and behavioral intervention services in a home or community setting to identified families with children with behavioral health needs. The person will also assist families with access and use of appropriate community supports and services.
Additional responsibilities will include: facilitating purposeful activities and interactions between parents and children who have been referred to the HCT Program, observe and document family sessions; model and teach behavioral management, symptom management and parenting skills; maintain all necessary records; and correspond with other providers as required.
Requirements: Bachelor’s Degree (or grandfathered in with an associate’s degree) in Mental Health/Social Services/Rehabilitation/Special Education field preferred. Must have a Behavioral Health Professional (BHP) certification or be eligible to receive a BHP-provisional certification. Experience working with individuals/children/families at risk for out of home placement preferred.
Registration, Licensure, or Certification Required by Law: Behavioral Health Professional (BHP) certification or BHP-provisional certification.
