HIGH HOPES CLUBHOUSE RECEIVES GRANT FROM KENNEBEC SAVINGS BANK

KSB and HH

High Hopes Clubhouse, one of four Kennebec Behavioral Health Clubhouses, has received a $10,000 grant Kennebec Savings Bank to support the Clubhouses’ general fund and Jim Schmidt Education Fund.

High Hopes Clubhouse is a program for adults with mental illnesses based on the Clubhouse Model of Psychiatric Rehabilitation. The Clubhouse offers members a supportive environment in which they can work alongside staff in the daily operations of the Clubhouse. High Hopes provides a place where self-confidence and hope for the future can be regained. Membership leads to continued growth, increased self-esteem, and a sense of empowerment.

The general fund supports overall operations of the Clubhouse, while the Jim Schmidt Education Fund supports educational opportunities for members. Kennebec Savings Bank has been a proud supporter of the Clubhouses for years and, according to Amanda Cooley, the KSB Vice President & Marketing and Communications Officer, is “proud to support High Hopes Clubhouse and the important work they do for the community KSB serves.”
