Kennebec Behavioral Health has launched its online auction fundraiser which will end at 8:15 PM on November 1, 2024. The auction is part of the organization’s annual fundraiser, A Night Out, which also features a 1980’s themed mystery show on November 1. The auction will take place on Bidding Owl.
During the week, anyone in Maine can bid on any of the items in the auction. Auction prizes have been donated by local businesses, individuals and KBH departments. If someone is outbid, they will be notified by BiddingOwl and can place another bid. Finally, at 8:15 PM on the 1st, bidding will end and the winning bids will be notified. A KBH staff person will then reach out to the winners to inform them of how they can receive their auction item.
All proceeds of the auction and event will support Kennebec Behavioral Health’s College Scholarship Fund. Every year, this fund awards scholarships to eight Maine students pursuing a college education in the behavioral health field. As the state struggles with finding enough mental health providers, KBH believes these scholarships will help encourage and shape the next generation of mental health care workers in Maine.
