Visitation Center
The Family Visitation Center supports safe, nurturing healthy meetings between children and families, either on-site, in the community, or in families� homes.� It is�an opportunity� for families who are facing challenges to spend time together�and if needed, to learn new skills.� Families using the Family Visitation Center�may be referred by the Department of Human Services, the court system,�mental health providers, or may be self-referred.� The Center�often�serves families whose children are in state custody and have court-mandated visits.� Families affected by separation and divorce may also use the�Family�Visitation Center's�resources�for visits between children and non-custodial parents.�
The Center provides secure, supervised observation, assessment, facilitation, and documentation.� The Center also offers

Visitation and parental education for families with special needs:
- High risk families dealing with domestic violence, abuse/neglect,�and
kidnap threats
- Children dealing with behavior problems, medical issues, mental illness, and mental retardation
Parents dealing with mental illness, substance abuse, family chaos, mental
retardation, and/or� who are working to build relationship, behavior�management,�or parenting�skills
