Wednesday Wellness: First Year of College

The first year of college is an exciting time, but many students suffer from unhealthy amounts of stress trying to adjust. Here are a few tips for a healthier first year in college:

 

Get organized. Buy an organizer or use an app to make sure you complete all assignments on time and prevent undue anxiety.

 

Stay active. College can mean an unhealthy lifestyle so exercise by joining club sports, eat healthy and try to get at least 7 hours of sleep.

 

Get to know your professors and academic adviser. If you are need academic help, you should never hesitate to reach out to a professor.

 

Finally, seek professional help when needed. Many colleges have health and counseling centers for sick and stressed students.
