Medication Clinic

RNC Mental Health
If you are a Registered Nurse with ANA certification in mental health and psychiatric nursing (RNC) who is looking for a new challenge, join our child & adult outpatient psychiatric medication management team as a nurse in our Skowhegan clinic. Our Physician/Nurse Teams provide our clients with assessments, and medical management education. As part of this team you will make a real difference.

In addition to our competitive pay and benefits, you will work a daytime schedule only - Monday to Friday; there is no on-call responsibilities and no mandatory overtime; and flexible scheduling is available.







Supported Housing Program

Residential Support Aide MHRT/1 - Bonus $500
Skowhegan - FT - Full MHRT 1 preferred; MHRT 1 Provisional required. *Completed CPR and First Aid Certifications will be taken under consideration and KBH will train and provide Provisional MHRT 1 Certifications to approved candidates. Shift differential: $2/hour for evenings and $3.00/hour for night coverage.

Staff role includes:
- Providing rehabilitative supportive services to persons with severe and prolonged mental illness that include: problem solving and decision making; supportive counseling; outreach; ADL skills training; family support; coordination/advocacy for services; education, medication administration; and crisis support.
- Limited case management services maybe provided in coordination with the clients' regular case manager as a supplement.
- Sign on bonus of $500 available: $100 paid at successful completion of 3 months of employment with remaining $400 paid at successful completion of 12 months of employment

The goal of these services is to assist individuals in obtaining the support, skills and rehabilitative services necessary to improve their level of functioning within their communities and to decrease the need for hospitalization. These services are delivered in a variety of home, office and community settings, depending on the individual's needs.

Community Support Services

Community Support Worker - Augusta Area
Full time - Augusta Area. As a member of our team you will work with adults with mental illness in the development & implementation of a service plan that provides clients with access to and utilization of appropriate community resources. You will assist with problem solving, decision making and coping skills to mazimize strengths and eliminate barriers for our consumers.

Required qualifications:
- certification as a Mental Health Rehabilitation Technician - Community (MHRT/C)
- a Bachelor Degree in Social Work or a related field
- a valid driver's license
- experience in the field is preferred





Children's Case Management

Clinical Supervisor - Children's Targeted Case Management
Due to the recent expansion of our Childrens' Targeted Case Management Mental Health Service, we have a full-time position available in the Central Maine region servicing primary offices located in Winthrop, Augusta, Waterville and Skowhegan. The supervisory position provides clinical support to all Children's Case Managers. Supervision formats include group, individual and crisis support to best meet the needs of our team members and clients. The Supervisor also provides extensive oversight and guidance with treatment planning, service delivery, team function, public relations, client intakes and clinical assessments. The Supervisor will be providing direct, clinical, Client support service as needed.

Requirements for this position are:

-LCSW and four years of relevant experience regarding intervention and assessment with children and families who have mental health issues.
-Will consider well experienced LCSW CC.
-Must possess strong clinical and leadership skills and the ability to function independently.
-Must have strong affinity for team based program delivery systems.
-Experience with community based services and supports for children such as HCT, MST, Section 28, Vocational Rehabilitation, Educational 504 plans, IEP process, etc.,



Home-Based Multisystemic Therapy

MST Therapist - Skowhegan
This is a Full Time position that will provide services in the Skowhegan area of Somerset County. You will provide short-term, time limited, crisis oriented counseling services to identified families with children at risk of removal from home or those returning from an outside placement.

The successful candidate will receive two years of extensive training in innovative Multisystemic Therapy for children and families.

This position requires the ability to interact with parents and children in emotionally challenging circumstances on a daily basis. We will consider bachelor's level candidates with related work experience with families in home or community-based settings, but prefer candidates who are independently licensed, with a Master's in Psychology, Social Work, Counseling or related subject areas.


MST Therapist - Bangor/Penobscot County
This is a Full Time position that will provide services in the Bangor area of Penobscot County. You will provide short-term, time limited, crisis oriented counseling services to identified families with children at risk of removal from home or those returning from an outside placement.

Emergency Shelter for Youths

Youth Worker - Halcyon House
We are currently seeking Per Diem Youth Workers to assist at the Halcyon House, located in Skowhegan, Maine. The Halcyon House is an emergency shelter that operates 24-hours per day, 365 days per year, providing food, shelter, counseling, referral and placement to Maine's neediest children. As a member of our team, you will be responsible for the individual advocacy for one or two residents.

The duties and responsibilities of this position include:
- Attending meetings as required, including individual and on-site counseling
- Arranging family visits
- Working with appointed Social Workers
- Arrangement of medical care
- Supervision of meals and household maintenance
- Supervision of group activities and projects
- Processing of individual and group issues in a responsible manner as they arise
- Taking Referrals and completing Intake paperwork
- Responsible for the oversight of safety and welfare of residents during on-duty time.

This position requires a valid driver's license, annual medical review and a high school Diploma. Three years relevant experience desired.

Youth Worker - Halcyon House - Full Time
We are currently seeking full time Youth Workers to assist at the Halcyon House, located in Skowhegan, Maine. These are second and third shift opportunities. Child and Family Services

Family Behavioral Health Clinician
Kennebec Behavioral Health is currently seeking a fully licensed Clinician (will consider conditional license with relevant experience) to work as part of the Home and Community Treatment (also known as HCT or 65M) team, serving the northern Kennebec and southern Somerset Counties (Waterville/Skowhegan area). This Per Diem position provides the opportunity to work with children/families in home and community settings, to facilitate a family's ability to manage a child's problem behaviors/symptoms and to improve parent's knowledge/skills. This is an intensive (multiple times per week) and short-term (3-6 months) treatment program, with the emphasis on facilitating change and providing families with the skills to be independent. Families have been determined to need a home-based, family system intervention approach.

Per Diem hours worked can be flexible, although priority will be given to applicants who desire 20 - 40 hours per week. The hourly rate is competetive, based on licensure and experience.

Requires a Master's degree or above and Maine clinical licensure. The successful applicant will have a LCSW, LCPC, LMFT or Ph.D. Comfort with children and families a must. Previous experience working with families in home settings, or at least the desire to work with families where they live is essential. This position is not considered "entry level" as the work can be challenging and requires a broad fund of knowledge. If you ahve a commitment to helping children through improving family functioning and the relationships in the family, this position will provide you with an opportunity to make a difference in the life of a family.


Adult Development Services

Adult Developmental Services Case Manager
KBH has a full time position in the Augusta area for an Adult Developmental Services Case Manager. The successful candidate will work as part of a team to deliver services to adults who have been given eligibility for MR case management services by DHHS. Individuals receiving services may also have an emotional disturbance, behavioral disorder, mental illness, pervasive developmental disorder or a combination of these. Responsibilities for case management include continual assessment, knowledge of resources in the community and referral for resources, collaboration with other providers, advocacy, and assuring for quality services.

Requirements:

- A Bachelor's degree in social work, counseling, special education, behavioral health, rehabilitation, psychology, nursing or closely related field and one year of experience in one of those areas.
- LSW or eligible to obtain it (as required by law)
- The successful candidate will have excellent language, interpersonal and organizational skills and enjoy working as part of a team.
