The Access Center provides centralized access to services at all of our locations and is the first point of entry for clients seeking services at Kennebec Behavioral Health.  Our Intake Specialists are skilled at matching a client’s presenting issues with the skill sets and credentials of our practicing clinicians and program services. 

We accept referrals from a variety of sources, including Primary Care Physicians, service agencies and individual providers, educators, state and municipal agencies, hospitals, and self-referrals

Services Include
• Gathering information for case to service matching.
• Maintaining the external wait list
• Obtaining releases of information and guardianship verification
• Verification of Insurance

Help with outside services
Intake Specialists are also educated in local resources and can assist with finding services offered outside of Kennebec Behavioral Health, including transportation, shelters, public welfare, and other community based services in and around central Maine.

Kennebec Behavioral Health accepts MaineCare (Medicaid), Medicare, and private insurance. The Access Center can provide information about financial assistance and other available community services.
